Fantastic text, Scott. I loved the choice of some words (permeating, hamartia, inhabiting, smallness) and how you covered a lot of ground that finally lead to a human conclusion. Best of luck with the next ones ;) !

This has got to be the best article I’ve read all year.

This comes in at a time when I'm thinking of "reaching my fullest potential". One of the steps I feel is by writing or expressing my thoughts on things personally professionally embracing all my identities. Since childhood I've been invisible of sorts - various external circumstances and internal meaning making by my child self. Only visible for the good results of my hardwork post exams maybe. Something about writing has fascinated me - but I'm scared of my writing to be seen/read by anyone.. I feel it's too private. Too personal. And mostly bullshit for anyone to be interested or to read. I do write decent I'm aware though.

I like to be seen for some 'intellegent' and smart opionated piece about the world at large, not personal stuff. But my thoughts about the world are personal - this makes it private and not displayable. Hence I end up with analysis paralysis and not writing at all.

Also if my writing should be seen by the world, I want it to be perfect, flawless and liked my EVERYONE. Else, what's the point, right. Another reason for analysis paralysis and inaction.

Also, I want my writing to be consistent. If I'm not consistent, what's the point!? So I'm just in my head and the thoughts are eventually lost.

This may have given me my lunar eclipse in Pisces eureka moment. Tension = control, which is resistance to the uncertainty and limitations in life that we all face. Incredible, thank you
