This essay presented itself to me as I am starting the last month at my (unfulfilling, good-sounding, stable, soul-deatroying) job and catching my breath before leaping into the unknown. I keep going back and forth between wanting to create space for the creative practices my soul needs and my gut is screaming for, and this need for safety ("I'll find a job asap, wtv it is, so I can make money, keep growing my savings, so I can protect future me, so I can be /safe/!").
